About this Role
The Senior SEO Strategist helps drive the marketing strategy for their sites and then helps the team achieve quarterly and annual goals for keyword rankings, web traffic, and leads. The position requires a high level of integrity, independence, and dedication to carrying out the company’s core values. This role is expected to reflect expertise, autonomy and self-direction in its approach to the responsibilities assigned below.

Our hybrid work model consists of work-from-home opportunities, with 3 recommended in-office days (T, W, TH) to maximize team collaboration and 2 WFH days (M, F). Role Expectations

  • Highly contributes to developing effective marketing initiatives across all web properties with the aim of meeting or exceeding traffic goals and lead-generation goals set by the company for various websites and projects.
  • Work with Marketing Lead, Content Lead and Development Lead to build more robust, lead-generating websites.
  • Understand and manage lead funnel reporting for all projects.
  • Advanced understanding and availability to train others on marketing tools.
  • Highly contributes to our ability to reach our overall business goals.
  • Failure to achieve expected metrics/results or making incorrect decisions / recommendations will have a serious, measurable impact on schedules or project milestones.
  • SEO focused responsibilities include:
  • Constant monitoring of analytics and search console
  • Push E-E-A-T initiatives
  • Ensure the site and every page establishes robust E-E-A-T
  • Generate positive reviews and mentions of the site
  • Protect the websites from algorithmic penalties
  • Follow Launch That best practices for SEO
  • Oversee link audits and disavows
  • PPC focused responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for generating quality leads within a target CPL and budget
  • Responsible for ensuring project is on track to meet lead and budget goals, including project projections and shifting spend allocations
  • Developes PPC and traditional marketing strategy
  • Executes PPC campaigns (Google, Bing, Facebook, Display, Print)

Quality Impact

  • Ensures all website leads are making it to the correct partners.
  • Flags issues (partner or technical).
  • Independently seeking out continuing education (whether webinars, conferences, or online courses) on a yearly basis to ensure ongoing pursuit of expanding professional knowledge in areas related to items within the role’s purview.
  • Helps Marketing Lead provide rigid QC standards to our websites. Continually auditing and QCing the site to spot issues or areas of improvement on:
  • Navigation

Qualifications & Skills

  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business and/or the equivalent amount through previous experience.
  • Advanced experience in SEO including:
  • At least 8 years of experience in SEO.
  • Technical SEO expertise (Canonicalization, Sitemaps, Crawl Budget etc.).
  • High level of experience with Screaming Frog and other, similar tools.
  • SEO Audit experience on sites of all sizes.
  • Responsible for a major web property that achieved significant domain growth.
  • Advanced experience in PPC including:
  • At least 8 years of experience in PPC.
  • Develops PPC strategy.
  • High level of experience with Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, CRM (Salesforce) and other similar tools.
  • Advanced PPC optimizations and expertise.
  • Proven ability to combine data from multiple sources and manipulate to analyze and interpret business performance.
  • History of content curation.
  • Ability to self-manage, take point on impactful interdisciplinary initiatives and execute tasks to completion (including post-launch reporting).
  • Ability to identify anomalies found within websites, ad platforms, traffic performance and lead management systems and from those derive preliminary change recommendations.
  • Ability to generate monthly channel forecasts for review.
  • Advanced understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Proficient in Salesforce (ability to create new reports, ability to understand what reports types and fields should be used to generate accurate information).
  • Proficient in Google Suite or similar software.
