The Test Engineering Supervisor will work with the Engineering Department supporting projects involving customers and will work in tandem with members of the Engineering and Program Management staff, taking a direct “hands-on” role with ownership and management responsibility on all production related project assignments and support Test Engineering function by providing guidance and support to all Test Engineers. The Test Engineering Supervisor will work in close collaboration with and report to the Engineering Manager.
Job Summary
- Provide leadership for the Test Engineering Department to establish objectives, priorities, and accountabilities, guide achievement of performance objectives, select, and empower functional leaders.
- Manage the performance and training of Test Engineers, Test Engineering Technicians, and Documentation personnel.
- Direct Test Engineering department and facility in continuous improvement activities
- Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with our customers through developing of staff to achieve customer requirements for engineering support and selling the support to customers.
- Develop engineering processes and procedures in accordance with ISO that allow products to be built and maintained to revision levels.
- Provide technical support to solve production problems within the facility.
- Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Perform other assignments as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering discipline or a technical field
- Five years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment; two (2) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred
- Knowledge of aerospace company specifications and practices
- Ability to lead a group of people in a constructive, productive and fair manner
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mylars
- Ability to drive relentless root cause analyses to gain from our mistakes
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies
- Ability to keep confidential information
- U.S. Person authorization to meet ITAR / EAR requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment; supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and prioritization skills.
- Strong team skills; ability to interact with all levels in the organization including ability to provide advice and counsel to senior decision makers.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking skills that portray the ability to conceptualize business requirements in a proactive manner.
- Prior experience with Flying Probe and ICT Platforms & Programming, specifically with SPEA, Agilent/HP and Teradyne Systems.

Salary: $95,000 – $126,000
