Quality Coordinator – Monroe, OH – $85k – $105k yr – (US Citizen or Green Card Only)
- This is not a paid relocation opportunity at the time, candidate must be able to personally relocate themself currently.
- Will need background in Automotive Manufacturing, specifically with experience with Japanese manufacturing customers/suppliers.
Summary:
Provide direction for product quality through significant knowledge of product developments, and plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the Quality staff in accordance with quality, customer and environmental, health and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support product and project development activities through PPAP and APQP.
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Lead establishment of QA/QC compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
- Manage the resolution of complex quality issues, including identification of the root cause and development and implementation of corrective action.
- Maintain quality satisfaction through the implementation and use of programs to control raw materials, in-process materials, production process, environmental conditions and finished products.
- Apply QA/QC systems, procedures, and practices to document all activities and maintain manufacturing record-keeping.
- Manage activities of personnel in quality functions including the testing and other quality related functions.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
- Work with Technical Manager to set up quality procedures.
- Setup and maintain department control and documentation. Identify relevant quality related training needs.
- Collect and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters.
- Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated, if necessary.
- Write technical reports.
- Monitor performance through gathering relevant data and producing reports.
- Visit customers to resolve quality issues and to discuss new items. Assist with ISO system maintenance and certifications.
- Promote and maintain team effectiveness and morale as demonstrated by positive actions, attitudes and judgment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Quality or Management and/or Specialized training equivalent to a four-year degree.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience.
- Knowledge of auditing and quality systems.
- Extensive experience with PPAP, APQP, and root cause corrective action.
- Excellent analytical and problem skills.
- Detailed understanding of all plant operations and functions.
